The FIRST® LEGO® League Global Innovation Award is designed to encourage and assist FLL teams to further develop their innovative solutions to real-world problems. This year, the FLL Food Factor® season challenged kids around the world to solve a food safety problem. The winning team will be offered the opportunity to work with Edison Nation to professionally develop, produce, and take their invention to market. (A prize valued at up to $250,000 in product development services.) Congratulations to Mrs. Pinzon and our "Kitchen Kommandos" for bringing home the South Florida Regional Championship on January 28. They are now headed for STATE competition in Melbourne on February 26. Way to go QWE Robotics Team!
Family Night: Please join the QWE PTA at Shelby's in the Deerfield Mall on Thursday, February 16 from 4-8pm. Present the flyer that went home and QWE will receive a percentage of your purchase! For all students that purchase a meal, Shelby's is offering mini ice cream cones, cotton candy, and movie tickets while supplies last.
The Broward County Public School's Eigteenth Annual Parent Survey is now open. Please complete the survey for your child. This year, parents who want to respond to the survey may access the Parent Survey using the Virtual Counselor Web site: https://www.browardschools.com/virtualcounselor/ and respond to the survey online. We appreciate the advice you give us each year and encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey by April 6, 2012.
